MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING

DISTRICT 8

A pre-bid meeting, mandatory for all prime contractors interested in bidding on the below-listed project, will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at 5:00 PM at the DBE Resource Center, located at Suite 303, #10 Collinsville Avenue, East Saint Louis, Illinois.

The pre-bid meeting applies to the following contract:

Contract No. 76C43        2.04 miles of paving, signing and drainage work on Relocated Interstate 70 from the Tri-Level Intestate 55/64/70

Interchange in East St. Louis to St. Clair Avenue in Brooklyn

All prime contractors who desire to bid on this project are required to attend.  All interested DBE firms are strongly encouraged to attend.  Staff from the design consultant and IDOT staff will be on hand to answer any questions potential bidders may have.  This will also be an opportunity for prime contractors to indicate their interest in receiving quotations from DBE firms.  Both prime contractors and DBE firms are encouraged to review the project goals prior to the pre-bid meeting.  Attendance will be taken to maintain compliance for bidding eligibility.

An information sharing session for all other projects in District 8 on the September 21st letting will also be held at the same time and location.  All Prime contractors and DBE subcontractors interested in any of the projects are encouraged to attend.  This will be both an opportunity to meet and explore opportunities for bidding.
